ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Natural resource economics

Natural resource economics is the study of how people use natural resources, like land, water, and minerals, to make money. It's all about trying to figure out how to use these resources in the most efficient way, so we can use them to help the most people. To do this, natural resource economists take into account things like the cost of using the resources, how much people need the resources, and how much it affects the environment. They work to make sure that the resources are used in a way that is fair and beneficial for everyone.
