Nearest neighbor search

Nearest neighbor search is a way of finding a group of items that are most similar to a given item. To do this, you first decide what characteristics you want to compare (called "features" or "attributes"), and then you look at each item to decide how similar it is based on those characteristics. For example, if you wanted to find the closest car to your car, you might look at things like the make, model, color, and year of each car, and decide which car was most similar to yours. You would then select that car as your "nearest neighbor".
