Negativity bias

Negativity bias means that people tend to remember and pay more attention to negative things than positive things. It's like our brain has a little "bump" in it that makes the bad stuff stand out more. So if something bad happens, it will stick with us longer and more easily than something good. For example, if you get an A on a test and a B on another test, you might remember the B more than the A.
