Neoliberalism (international relations)

Neoliberalism is a set of ideas about how the world works. It is based on the idea that international trade and investment should be open and free, meaning that there should be few restrictions on the buying and selling of goods and services between different countries. The goal of this open and free trade is to help countries grow their economies and provide more jobs and better living standards. In addition to free trade, neoliberalism also supports looser regulations on businesses and governments, lower taxes, and fewer restrictions on the movement of capital (money) across borders. Neoliberalism is an important part of international relations because it affects how different countries cooperate and compete with each other.
