ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Neonatal nursing

Neonatal nursing is like being a special nurse for little babies who are newborns. These babies need extra care because they are very new and delicate. Sometimes they are born early or they might have a health problem that needs attention.

Neonatal nurses make sure these babies are safe and comfortable while staying in the hospital. This means they help feed them, change their diapers, and make sure they are warm enough. They also keep an eye on their health and check on them often to make sure they are doing okay.

Neonatal nurses work closely with the doctors who are in charge of the baby's care. They help them give medicine and do tests to make sure the baby is getting better.

It may sound scary, but neonatal nurses are like superheroes for these tiny little babies. They help make sure they grow strong and healthy, and they give them all the love and care they need.
