Nernst effect

The Nernst effect is a fancy term that describes what happens when electricity and a magnetic field are present at the same time. When these two things are combined, a special force is created that makes electrons move in a certain way. This movement of electrons is called the Nernst effect.

Imagine you have a toy car and you want to make it move. You have to push it with your hand, right? The Nernst effect is like the hand that pushes the electrons in a certain direction. And just like the direction you push your toy car, the Nernst effect can push electrons in different directions, depending on the magnetic field.

The reason why the Nernst effect is important is that it allows us to understand how electricity behaves in different materials. Scientists can use the Nernst effect to study materials and figure out how they can be used for things like computer chips or electric cars.

So, the Nernst effect is a special force that helps scientists understand how electricity behaves in different materials. Just like pushing your toy car, the Nernst effect can push electrons in different directions, depending on the magnetic field.
