ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Nest algebra

Nest algebra is like when you have a bunch of boxes and you want to put some things in them. Let's say you have 2 boxes, and each box can hold 3 toys. So, you have a total of 6 spaces for toys.

Now, let's say you have 10 toys. You need to figure out how many boxes to use so that all the toys fit. You can use nest algebra to help you figure this out.

First, you can divide the number of toys by the number of spaces in each box. In this case, you would do 10 divided by 3, which equals 3 with a remainder of 1.

That means you can fit 3 toys in each of the 2 boxes, which uses up 6 spaces. But you still have one toy left.

So, you need to use another box to fit that last toy. And now you have used 3 boxes to fit all 10 toys.

Nest algebra can help you with more complicated problems too, but it always involves figuring out how many groups or "nests" you need to fit a certain number of things.
