Neurogenic inflammation is when our nerves (which help us feel and react to things) can cause our body to get inflamed (swollen and red), even if there's nothing wrong. When we get hurt or sick, our nerves send messages to our brain to tell us that something is wrong and it needs to be fixed. Sometimes these messages can make our body think that we need to be inflamed to fix the problem, even if there's not really anything there to fix. This can cause all sorts of problems, like pain, itching, and swelling, even when there's no real reason for it. It's like when you imagine that there's a monster under your bed and you get scared, even though there's really nothing there. Our nerves can trick our body into thinking that there's something there that needs to be taken care of, even if it's not real.
