Neuromorphic engineering

Neuromorphic engineering is a type of engineering that looks at how the brain works and tries to imitate it. It uses artificial electronic or mechanical parts to mimic the way the brain processes information. These parts work together to form a network just like the network of neurons in the brain. The electronic or mechanical "neurons" can be used to solve problems like recognizing patterns and making decisions. This technology can be used to improve how robots interact with their environment or make them better problem solvers.
