Neuroprotection

Okay kiddo, neuroprotection is like wearing a helmet to protect your head when you ride a bike. Your head is very important because it helps control your body and lets you think, feel and remember things. Similarly, our brain is like our body's control center and helps us do all kinds of things!

But sometimes, our brain can get hurt or damaged because of things like aging, accidents or diseases. That's where neuroprotection comes in - it's like putting a helmet on the brain to protect it from getting hurt!

Scientists are trying to design ways to protect the brain and its cells (called neurons) so that they can continue to work properly and protect us. They do this by using a variety of approaches - by helping the brain repair itself, by stopping harmful chemicals from damaging the brain or by even creating new brain cells that can replace the damaged ones!

It's important to keep our brain healthy and protected, just like we wear helmets to keep our head safe when we ride our bikes. So, we can do things like eat healthy, exercise our body and brain, get enough sleep and avoid things that can hurt the brain. By taking good care of our brain, we can help it work for us in the best way possible!
