Neuroregeneration

Hi kiddo, do you know how our bodies can heal when we get a cut or a bruise? That's because our body has something called "regenerative abilities". It means that our body can create new cells to replace the old or damaged ones.

Same thing happens with our nerves too. Nerves are like tiny wires that help our brain communicate with our body parts. Sometimes, nerves can get damaged due to an injury or a disease like Parkinson's or Alzheimer's. When this happens, the body tries to fix itself by creating new nerve cells - this process is called "Neuroregeneration".

Now, neuroregeneration is trickier than normal healing because nerves are a bit more delicate and complex than skin or other tissues. But scientists are working hard to understand how it works and what can be done to help our bodies regenerate those damaged nerves. There are certain things we can do to help, like eating healthy food, staying active and keeping our minds sharp by learning new things.
