Neutrality (psychoanalysis)

Neutrality in psychoanalysis means that the therapist tries to be like a blank slate, with no emotion or judgment towards the person they are helping. They are there to listen and understand, not to judge or tell the person what to do. It's like being a friendly robot who only listens and asks questions. This helps the person feel safe and able to share their feelings without worrying about being judged or misunderstood.
