ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Newspaper

Newspapers are like big coloring books, but instead of pictures to color, they have words and pictures that tell you what's happening in the world around you.

Every day, some people called "reporters" go out and find out what's going on in the city or the country or the world. They talk to different people, look at different places, and then write down what they see and hear.

The people in charge of the newspaper then take all these stories and put them together in a big book called a "newspaper." They also add some pictures to make it look nicer.

When you read a newspaper, you can learn about all kinds of things. You can find out if it's going to rain, if there are any big events happening in your city, or if there are problems in other parts of the world.

Newspapers also have something called "comics" which are like little stories with pictures that are funny or exciting. And sometimes there are puzzles and games for you to play.

So, a newspaper is like a book that tells you about what's happening in the world, and it can be really interesting to read!
