Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model

The Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) is a type of mathematical model scientists use to describe particles and their behavior. It's one of many models that was created to try and explain the weird stuff that's going on inside atoms. It's called "supersymmetric" because it uses something called "supersymmetry" to help explain how different kinds of particles interact with each other. It's called "Minimal" because it has the fewest possible number of particles and forces in the model. It's called "Next-to-Minimal" because it adds just a few more particles and forces than the original "Minimal" model. Scientists use the NMSSM to help them understand particles better, so that they can develop new technologies and make new discoveries.
