Nicholas Callan

Nicholas Callan was an Irish scientist who lived in the 1800s. He studied electricity and inventing the induction coil, which was an early device that could produce an electric current or voltage. The induction coil is still used today in things ranging from car ignitions to doorbells. Callan's work was very important because it helped lay the foundation for our modern electricity-based world.
