ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Nigerian pound

Well little one, years ago Nigeria had its own kind of money called the Nigerian pound. It was like a special paper that people used to buy things they needed, like food or toys.

Just like when you go to the store with mommy or daddy and they use money to pay for everything they want, people in Nigeria did the same thing with the Nigerian pound.

But over time, things changed and the Nigerian pound was replaced with a different kind of money called the Nigerian naira.

So now, when people in Nigeria want to buy things, they use the Nigerian naira instead of the Nigerian pound. It's like when you get older and you start using real money instead of the toy money you play with at home!
