Nitrogen deficiency

Okay kiddo, so you know how we need food to grow bigger and stronger, right? Well, just like us, plants also need something called "food" to grow big and healthy. One of the most important "foods" that plants need is called nitrogen.

Nitrogen is found in the air all around us, but it is something that plants cannot use directly. Instead, they need to get it from the soil around their roots.

Now imagine that you are a plant and you're growing in a garden. If the soil around your roots doesn't have enough nitrogen for you to use, that means you're not getting all the "food" you need to grow big and strong. This is called a nitrogen deficiency.

When plants don't have enough nitrogen, they can start to look pale and yellow instead of bright green. They might also be smaller than they should be and not produce as many flowers or fruits.

To fix a nitrogen deficiency, you can add something to the soil to give the plant more nitrogen. Some gardeners like to use a type of fertilizer that has lots of nitrogen in it. This will help the plant grow better and be healthier.

So remember, just like we need good food to grow big and strong, plants need nitrogen to grow big and healthy too!
