No-man's land is like the middle part between two places where nobody is allowed to go. Imagine if you have two best friends, Bob and Sue, and they both have big yards with a fence in the middle. The space in between their fences is called no-man's land since it doesn't belong to either of them. You can't go there for a picnic or play games because it's not your yard or your friend's yard. So, it's like being stuck in between two places, but not really belonging to either one. In real life, no-man's land was created during battles, where there was a space of land that nobody was allowed to go to because it was dangerous and in the middle of fighting armies.
