Noise mitigation

Noise mitigation is a way of making loud noises go away so that they don't bother people. It's like putting on headphones to listen to music instead of playing it really loud for everyone around you to hear.

When there are loud noises like construction machines, trains or airplanes, it can be really hard for people who live nearby to sleep, concentrate on work or even relax. So, noise mitigation is all about making sure those noises don't harm people's health or peace of mind.

There are many ways to do noise mitigation. For example, putting up walls or barriers around a construction site can help contain the noise, making it less loud for people nearby. Engineers can also design quieter engines for vehicles, machines, and airplanes.

Another way is to create noise-absorbing materials. These are special materials that can be placed on walls, ceilings or floors to absorb the noise and stop it from bouncing off and making things even louder.

So, noise mitigation is really all about finding ways to make sure that people can live, work, and play in peace - without too much noise to get in the way.
