Noise weighting

Noise Weighting is like putting on headphones to listen to music in a noisy room. When you put on headphones, you can hear the music better because the noise around you is quieter. Similarly, in audio measurements, noise weighting reduces or boosts certain frequencies relative to others to make it easier to hear the sounds of interest. This is helpful because different types of sound may be more or less audible depending on the noise in the environment. For example, a quiet bird chirping might be hard to hear in a noisy city street, but with the right noise weighting, you can isolate that bird sound and make it easier to analyze. So, noise weighting is like adjusting the audio settings to help you hear important sounds more clearly.
