ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Nominal sentence

Okay kiddo, a nominal sentence is a special kind of sentence that is made up of two parts: the subject and the predicate. The subject is the thing or person that the sentence is talking about, and the predicate is the part of the sentence that describes what the subject is or does.

For example, "I am a student" is a nominal sentence because the subject is "I" and the predicate is "am a student". The predicate is just telling you what I am.

Another example could be, "The dog is brown". In this case, the subject is "the dog" and the predicate is "is brown", which is just describing what the dog looks like.

So basically, a nominal sentence is like a simple puzzle where you put together a subject and a predicate to make a complete thought! Cool, huh?
