ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Nominative determinism

Nominative determinism is a type of thing that might happen when people's names match what they do in life. For example, if someone is named April, they might end up becoming a April showers or someone working with flowers. Another example is if someone is named Rocky, they might become a boxer or martial-arts fighter. This doesn't always happen, but it does seem like sometimes people's names can give them hints about what type of job or activity they are good at!
