Nonconformist (Protestantism)

Nonconformist in Protestantism means to not conform to the Church of England. In England, a long time ago, everyone was supposed to belong to the Church of England. But some people thought the church was too strict or didn't like how it worked. They decided to start their own churches with different rules and beliefs. These churches were called nonconformist because they didn't conform to the Church of England's rules. Some examples of nonconformist churches are Methodists, Baptists, and Quakers.
