Nonexistent object

Imagine if I told you to go find a purple elephant in the park. You might look around but you wouldn't see any purple elephant because there isn't one there. That is kind of like how a nonexistent object works.

A nonexistent object is something we talk about, but it doesn't actually exist. Just like the purple elephant, it may seem like it should exist, but it doesn't.

Sometimes people use nonexistent objects to talk about stories or books. For example, we might talk about Harry Potter or unicorns, but they are not real. They are just made up things that we use to tell stories.
