Normal plane (geometry)

A normal plane is like a flat surface that is super duper special. Sometimes when we have a shape, like a ball or a box, we can draw a special line called a normal. This line is like a really straight arrow pointing out from the shape.

Now, if we take that line and place it at any point on the shape, we can imagine that it makes a flat surface. This is called a normal plane! It's like we took a sheet of paper and placed it on the shape just where the normal line is pointing out.

The normal plane is really cool because it helps us understand how the shape looks and behaves at that point. If we have a ball and draw a normal, for example, the normal plane will be a completely flat surface. This is because the ball at that point is completely smooth and doesn't have any bumps or curves.

But if we draw a normal on a box, for example, the normal plane will be different depending on where we place it. If we put it on a flat side, the normal plane will be flat too. But if we put it on a corner, the normal plane will have a slant because the box is not flat there.

So basically, a normal plane is a flat surface that we create from a special line called a normal. It helps us understand how the shape looks and behaves at that point!
