ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Normal space

Imagine if you had a room that was completely empty. There's nothing in it except for the walls and the floor. That's what we call "normal space." It's a place where nothing special happens - no magic, no weird creatures, nothing like that. It's just a regular, everyday kind of space.

Now, imagine that in this room you put a chair, a table, and a lamp. Suddenly, it's not just an empty normal space anymore - it's a room with things in it. But even though there are things in the room now, it's still considered a normal space because nothing crazy or unusual is happening.

So when people talk about "normal space," they're usually referring to the kind of space we're used to seeing in our everyday lives. It's not a special kind of space like outer space or a black hole. It's just the space we move around in every day.
