Normative science

Normative science is the area of study that looks at how we should act, or what is right or wrong. It is different than science that looks at what is, because it looks at what should be. It often looks at ideas like morality, ethics, and laws. For example, if a scientist does research to figure out if murder is wrong, that would be a normative science study.
