Environmental policy

Environmental policy is when governments or organisations make rules or laws which protect the environment. It might include things like banning the use of plastic bags, setting up recycling systems so that people can reuse materials, or protecting areas of nature so that animals have a safe space to live. It's important because humans depend on the environment for things like food, water, and air, and if we don't protect it, it could be damaged and our quality of life could worsen.
