Norse funeral

When someone from the Viking culture dies, they have a special way of saying goodbye to them which is called a Norse funeral.

First, they will prepare the person's body by washing it and dressing them in their best clothes or armor. Then, they will lay the person on a boat or ship, and sometimes, they will include all of their favorite things like weapons, jewelry or even animals.

Next, they will set the boat on fire and it will float away on the water. This is because the Viking people believed that the boat will take the person's soul to the afterlife.

While the boat is sailing away, the people who are left behind will sing and tell stories about the person who has died. They will also light torches and bonfires as a way to say goodbye and honor the person's life.

Overall, the Norse funeral is a way for the Viking people to celebrate the life of the person who has passed away and send them off to their eternal destiny in the afterlife.
