Nortel

Nortel was a big company that made phone systems and other types of technology. They were headquartered in Canada and had offices all around the world. They went bankrupt in 2009 because of bad decisions made by their management and also because many companies stopped buying phones from them. That meant that Nortel lost a lot of money and couldn't pay back its debts. This is why it had to close, unfortunately.
