Notions (sewing)

Notions are like the accessories of sewing. You know how you like to add ribbons, stickers, and glitter to your crafts to make them more special? Well, sewing notions are kind of like that, but for adults who like to sew.

Notions are all the little things you need to complete a sewing project besides the fabric and thread. Think of them like the finishing touches that make a dress or a pair of pants look nice and fit well.

Some examples of sewing notions are buttons, zippers, elastic, bias tape, hooks and eyes, and snaps. These things help to make clothes look polished and help them stay on your body.

Other sewing notions are things like pins, needles, and shears. Pins are used to hold patterns and fabric together before it's sewn, so they don't move around. Needles are what you use to sew the fabric together, and shears are special scissors used to cut fabric neatly.

In summary, notions are the little things you use to make your sewing projects look and fit better. They're like adding your own little special touches to your creation that make it unique and special.
