Nuclear fuel bank

Okay kiddo, imagine you have a piggy bank where you keep all your savings. Similarly, countries that want to use nuclear power, which is a kind of energy that comes from the nucleus of an atom, need to have something like a piggy bank too, but for something called nuclear fuel.

The nuclear fuel is a special kind of material that we use to make energy from the nucleus of the atom. However, not every country can make or get this fuel easily. That is where the nuclear fuel bank comes in.

Think of it like a big bank that stores nuclear fuel that countries can borrow from. Just like how you borrow some money from your piggy bank when you need it, countries can borrow some nuclear fuel from the fuel bank when they need it to make energy.

Now, this fuel bank is different from any other bank because the fuel inside it is very expensive and powerful. It can cause a lot of damage if it falls into the wrong hands, like someone who wants to make a big bomb.

So to make sure the nuclear fuel bank keeps the fuel safe and secure, certain rules need to be followed. Only countries that are responsible and follow the rules of the nuclear agreement, called the Non-proliferation Treaty will be allowed to borrow fuel from it.

This way, we make sure that everyone who needs nuclear fuel gets it, and it is used for peaceful purposes only.
