Number system

A number system is a way of counting and measuring things. It helps us keep track of things like how much money we have in our bank account, how many books we have on our shelf, and so much more. A number system uses numbers like 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 to count and measure things. With a number system, you can use these numbers and put them together to make bigger numbers. For example, if you wanted to count how many apples you have, you could use the number system to count up from one to however many apples you have. So if you have five apples, you can count to five using the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
