Numeral prefix

Hey kiddo, have you ever heard of numbers and counting? Yeah? Great! Now, do you know how we make big numbers using smaller numbers? That's where numeral prefixes come in!

Numeral prefixes are little words that we add to the beginning of other words to change their meaning. Just like how you add "un" to "happy" to make "unhappy." But with numeral prefixes, we add them to numbers instead.

For example, you know the number "one", right? Well, we can add the prefix "uni-" to make "unicorns". Or we can add the prefix "mono-" to make "monotone", which means something that uses only one tone.

We can also add prefixes to bigger numbers like "hundred" or "thousand". Like "centi-" which means one hundredth. So if we add "centi-" to "meter", we get "centimeter", which is a tiny length measurement.

Another cool prefix is "mega-", which means one million. So if we add "mega-" to "byte", we get "megabyte", which is a measurement of digital storage.
