ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Nursing research

Nursing research is when nurses want to learn more about how to take care of people who are sick or need medical help. Just like how kids in school learn new things by doing experiments and tests, nurses also do experiments and tests to learn more about how to help people feel better. Nurses use their brains to think of questions they want to answer, and then they use tools and techniques to find out the answers to their questions. They may ask people questions or check their bodies in different ways. Once they find the answers, they tell other nurses and doctors so that everyone can learn how to take care of people better. This helps people who are sick or not feeling well feel happier and healthier!
