Nursing theory

Okay kiddo, so have you ever been to the doctor or the hospital with your mommy or daddy? You may have seen nurses walking around taking care of patients. These nurses do a lot more than just give medicine and take your temperature.

Nursing theory is when nurses study and think about how to take care of people in the best way possible. It's like when your teacher in school thinks about how to help you learn better.

There are many different nursing theories, just like there are many different ways you can learn in school. One nursing theory might say that we should focus on making sure the patient's body is comfortable, while another might focus on making sure the patient's emotions are feeling okay.

Nursing theories help nurses figure out how to take care of patients based on their individual needs. It's like having a big toolbox full of different tools to help the patient feel better.

But nurses don't just make up these theories out of nowhere. They do research and look at how other nurses have taken care of patients in the past. By studying all of this information, nurses learn new ways to take care of patients and make them feel better.
