ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Nynorsk

Nynorsk is a way of writing words in Norwegian that some people like to use. In Norwegian, there are two different ways to write words: bokmål and nynorsk. Think of it like when you write with a pencil, you can either use print (like the words in a book) or cursive (like when you write your name on a card). Nynorsk is like cursive, it's another way to write the same language. Some people like nynorsk because it's more similar to how the language was spoken a long time ago, while others prefer bokmål because it's more commonly used. It's important to know both ways of writing if you live in Norway, but you can choose which one you like better.
