Oblique Strategies

Oblique strategies are sets of cards with helpful hints or suggestions that you can use if you have writer's block or you don't know what to do next when you're stuck. For example, you might have an idea of what you want to write next in a story, but you don't know how to go about it. Or maybe you want to draw something but can't quite figure out what. By using a card from an oblique strategies set, you can find a little bit of inspiration and a helpful suggestion on how to get unstuck and out of a creative rut. The cards usually have sayings like "Change instrument roles" or "Don't be frightened of clichés" printed on them. They remind you to take a step back from your problem and try looking at it from a different angle.
