Oil shale industry

Oil shale is a type of rock found in the ground that can be used to make fuel and other products. The oil shale industry is when companies dig up the rocks and use them to make these products. They do this by heating the rocks until they are hot enough to release a liquid that is similar to petroleum. This liquid is often used to make fuel for cars, or be used in other industries.
