Old University of Leuven
The Old University of Leuven was a very old and famous school where people went to learn things. It was located in a city called Leuven in a country called Belgium. Lots of smart and educated people used to go there to teach, study, and learn things like math, science, history, and lots more.
The Old University of Leuven was built a very long time ago, about 600 years ago! That's older than your mommy, daddy, and even your grandma and grandpa! It was a very important and famous place where lots of people would come from far away to learn.
However, even though it was very old and important, the Old University of Leuven eventually had to close down. This happened a long time ago, in the year 1797. The government at the time didn't want to keep paying for the school. So instead of letting it keep going, they shut it down.
But even though the school is closed, you can still visit it! There are lots of pretty buildings and historical sites that you can see and learn about. And who knows, maybe one day you might be studying at a university just like the Old University of Leuven!
