The One World Youth Project is kind of like when you meet a new friend who lives far away and you want to learn more about them and their life. But instead of just one new friend, you get to make friends with lots of kids from different places all over the world! And instead of just learning about their life, you get to work together to make the world a better place.
First, you'll have a grown-up, maybe a teacher or volunteer, who will help you connect with other kids from different countries. You might use a computer to chat with them or even send letters back and forth. You'll learn about their cultures, like what they eat, how they celebrate holidays and what games they like to play.
But the One World Youth Project is about more than just learning about other people. You'll also work together to make changes in the world. You might learn about problems in your own community, like littering or needing a park, and work on solutions together. Or you might talk about bigger issues that affect everyone, like climate change or poverty. You'll come up with ideas for how to make things better and then try to put those ideas into action.
By working together with kids from all over the world, you'll learn that even though people might be different, we all share the same Earth and can work together to make it a better place for everyone.
