Op-amp swapping

Op-amp swapping is when you substitute one type of op-amp (operational amplifier) for another type. Op-amps can amplify small signals into bigger signals so they are used in a lot of electronic circuits. Different op-amps have different characteristics, like how much they amplify the signal, or how quickly they can handle the signal, and sometimes a different op-amp can produce a different sound. By swapping one op-amp for another, people can experiment with the sound their circuit produces or make the sound work better for their needs.
