Open bowling is when you get to go to a bowling alley with your family or friends and play a game of bowling. You usually pay a fee to rent the shoes you need to wear and to get a lane to play on. Each player takes turns rolling a heavy ball down a long track, trying to knock down all the pins at the end of the lane. If you knock down all the pins on your first try, it's called a "strike," and if you knock them all down on your second try, it's called a "spare." You can play as many rounds as you want, and the person with the highest score at the end is the winner! It's a fun way to spend time with people you like while doing some exercise and trying to win a game.
