Open source license litigation

Open source license litigation is when people take a court case to have a judge decide who is right or wrong in a situation where someone is breaking a law related to open source software. Open source software is free to use, but it comes with certain rules or licenses that people have to follow, such as not using it in a way that is illegal, or not using it to make money without properly crediting the original creators. When people break the open source licenses, it is up to the creators of the software to decide what to do about it, and sometimes that means taking the person who is breaking the license to court. In court, the judge will listen to both sides and decide who is right, and who is wrong.
