ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

OpenStack

Openstack is like a really big toybox that lots of different people can play with. It helps people build and manage their own cloud computer systems.

A cloud computer system is like a magical storage place where you can put all your important computer things like programs, files, and data, and then access them from anywhere in the world.

Openstack has lots of different parts, like tools that help you create virtual computers (called instances), storage systems to keep all your important files safe, and networking tools to help all the different parts of your cloud talk to each other.

Think of Openstack like a bunch of Legos all working together to help you build your imaginary castle in the sky. But instead of Legos, it's made up of different computer tools that work together to make your cloud computer system run smoothly.
