Optical network on chip

Optical network on chip is like a highway that allows tiny computer parts to talk to each other. Think of a city with lots of roads that connect different neighborhoods. Just like how cars can use these roads to get from one place to another, computers can use these highways to send information.

Now imagine if these roads were made of light instead of concrete. That's what an optical network is like. Instead of cars driving on the road, tiny particles of light move around to send data between different parts of the computer.

This allows the computer to work faster and more efficiently because the light can travel much faster than electrons (particles that normally carry data in a computer). Plus, using light to send data means that there's less interference and noise, which can slow things down.

Overall, an optical network on chip is a really cool way to make computers run even better than they do now!
