Oral history is when people tell stories about things that happened in the past. It's kind of like when somebody tells a bedtime story to a kid, but with real people and real things that actually happened. A lot of times, people in a family might tell stories about what their parents or grandparents did, or what happened in their community. Oral history is usually done by talking with somebody—maybe you might even do an interview with someone—and writing down what they say so that the stories can get passed down through generations.
