Orania is a town in South Africa. It was founded in 1991 by a group of people who wanted to have a town where only white South Africans could live and work. They wanted a place where their culture, language, and traditions could be kept alive. In Orania, all the shops, businesses, and government offices use Afrikaans, the language of the white South African population. People there are allowed to live and work only if they are white. This means that people of other races are not allowed to move to Orania or visit.
