Ordinal utility is a way of thinking about how much or how little you like things. It's like putting things in a list from most favorite to least favorite. For example, let's say you like ice cream, cookies, and cake. You could list them from most favorite to least favorite in this way: ice cream, cake, cookies. That's ordinal utility!
