Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is an organization that works to help countries in Europe and North America (known as the "OSCE region") be safer, work better together and make sure everyone's rights are protected. OSCE collects statistics to help understand the situation in the OSCE region so they can make better decisions to help the region become safer. For example, OSCE collects statistics such as how much money different countries spend on their militaries, how many people are living in refugee camps and what kind of jobs people have. That way, they can see how different things in the region are connected and have enough facts to know what needs to be done to help keep people safe.
